Using the hair dryer, blow dry your hair upside down without the nozzle attachment, as this will give the hair more volume. Only use your fingers and not a hairbrush during this process as this will provide more natural movement to the hair.

Using a straightener like the hair straightener, starting from the front of the head and moving towards the back, take fine vertical sections of your hair from crown to nape and clamp 1.25 inches from the head. Glide the straightener from one side of the hair to the opposite in a forward motion. Alternate between a forward and backward motion so no sections blend into each other.

Let your hair cool down for 10 minutes then shake it with your fingers for a tussled beach finish.
