Rabbits, Guitars And Light Sabres: Behind The Scenes At A Topshop Shoot
Ever wondered what it’s like to be on a shoot with Cara Delevingne?
Well, it apparently involves ventriloquism, light sabres and the beginning of a rabbit-model love story.
Nobody ever accused Delevingne of being boring, and the behind-the-scenes video released from her exclusive Topshop campaign – she’s the brand’s very first ‘face’ – confirms that she’s a high-energy prospect.
She dances, jumps, makes faces, bursts balloons, and pretends convincingly to be a Sith Lord.
However, the video also reveals that one of fashion’s Instagram favourites, her pet rabbit Cecil Delevingne, was actually originally a ‘prop’ for the campaign.
The tiny rabbit, which has gone everywhere with Delevingne ever since, was only meant to feature in the photographs – but the video shows the model begging to keep him.
“So who does he belong to? Please can I have him?” she says, in full make-up, clutching the tiny bunny to her chest. Later she has a pretend ‘conversation’ with him about Topshop. Looks like love to us.
As for the clothes, they’re pretty British-cool: lots of pirate-inspired boots, sleek tuxedos, elaborate parkas and jewelled mini-dresses.
And it turns out Cara can also breakdance. Multi-talented.

Kenzo Lets You Watch A Virtual-Reality Art Heist
They’ve become infamous for their weird and wonderful advertising campaigns – last season, Kenzo used the Kenzodiac to guide people through their collection.
Now, however, they’re entering the art world – digitally.
They’ve produced an interactive ‘art gallery’ using models Grace Bol and Sang Woo Kim, for users to browse.
But it’s not just to look at the pretty pictures. The online installation, entitled ‘Grace To The Nth Power’, takes place in the fictional ‘Vivian Gallery’, and the artworks are actually videos of the models ransacking the place.
They’re very well-dressed cat burglars, of course – clad in Kenzo’s autumn/winter 2014 collection.
And if you want to get a piece of the clothing action, you buy it (where else?) in the gift shop on the way out.
It’s all very ‘To Catch A Thief’ for 2014 – so is this the future of fashion advertising?
The New York Times thinks so, but we’ll wait and see. Classic print campaigns are a very old tradition, and interactive experiences may be too overwhelming for people to actually ‘see’ themselves in the clothes they buy.
It sure does make a spectacular shopping experience, though.

Collaborations We Love: Puma x Brooklyn We Go Hard
Tis the season for collaborations to be revealed – and we’re loving the edgy sportswear dreamt up by Puma in collaboration with BWGH.
BWGH are actually French label Brooklyn We Go Hard. Named after a Jay-Z song, they actually formed in 2010, and have a roster of talented photographers on board for shots of urban life around the world.
So what’s the collaboration with Puma got in store?
Technically it’s menswear, but androgyny is always on the menu when it comes to sports and urban silhouettes. There are futuristic camo prints, block-coloured two-toned jackets and jumpers, and a very joyful jumper.
But we suspect it’s the shoes that will fly off the shelves.
After the World Cup in Brazil, with its mismatched neon shoes on virtually every player, everybody looked at their footwear and wanted more pizzazz. The day of the beige and white trainers is over.
And the Puma x BWGH shoes more than fit the bill, with blue camo print, sci-fi green and white suede, and (our favourite) purple shoes with bright pink toes.
Now that’s a good way to make sure you’re visible when jogging.
What do you think of the Puma x BWGH collaboration collection?
