#CastMeMarc: Marc By Marc Jacobs Looks For Models On Instagram
Ever fancied yourself as the star of a Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign?
Now it might be in your reach – if you have a Twitter account.
The heads of Marc by Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier, have launched a campaign to find their next campaign star – online.
And now images tagged with #CastMeMarc are flooding in over Twitter and Instagram.
The details? You need to be over 18 and free to shoot between April 30 and May 1, but the deadline is today, the 9th.
Selfies from all corners are now clogging the inboxes of the model agency Establishment NY, who have been chosen to select the winner/s.
From traditional high-cheekboned models to cats, babies and a very cute miniature turtle, the whole internet seems to be clamouring for a shot at the campaign.
They’re normally shot by Jurgen Teller, and are notoriously offbeat, with past campaigns including Victoria Beckham crawling out of a box and then 13-year-old Dakota Fanning sitting looking bored in a gown.
We hope Bartley and Hillier incorporate at least a few cats into their campaign – it’s what the internet is good at, after all.

Andrej Pejic Releases Line Of Jewellery
Androgynous Australian model Andrej Pejic, who’s made her name stomping catwalks for both male and female clothing lines, has released a line of jewellery.
And, like her, it’s sleek, modern and unexpected.
The collaboration, with jewellery designer Sam H Snyder, eschews fuss and frills for clean lines, space-age shapes and high-tech processes.
And every piece was created using 3D printing, building up layer upon miniscule layer of palladium, 18k gold and platinum, rather than traditionally moulded.
So Pejic is on the very cutting edge of design as well as modelling.
“It definitely fits my aesthetic,” she told the press. “I don’t like flashy, diamonds – it’s modern and minimal but thick and chunky.”
Plus the range has a good heart.
A part of the profits goes straight to the Ali Forney Centre, an American charity that helps homeless LGBT youth. Pejic, who was born a boy but prefers to identify with female pronouns, says that her modelling career has “given a face” to the struggles of young LGBT people.
Our favourite pieces? The metallic ribbon-like necklaces and bracelets, and the chunky, sharp-edged rings.
Will you be getting into Pejic + Snyder’s jewellery line?

What Will Duchess Catherine’s $80,000 Ralph & Russo Gown Look Like?
They first rocketed onto the international stage when Angelina Jolie chose them for her first outfit post-masectomy.
And now Australian design duo Ralph & Russo have grabbed headlines again.
The rumour mill reports that Duchess Catherine commissioned a custom gown for her tour Down Under, which has just started.
And not just any custom gown. The price tag is a reported whopping $80,000.
Ralph & Russo is run from London by the Australian couple Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo, and is the only British-based couture house to ever have been allowed to show at Paris Haute Couture Week. Pretty heavy pedigree.
So what might the knockout gown look like?
Their couture show at this year’s Paris Couture week was dominated by strong colours: whites, blues, pinks, reds and blacks. There was some 18th-century inspired embroidery, but largely the shapes spoke for themselves: very 1950s, with nipped waists, origami-folded bodices and sweeping, luxurious skirts.
We don’t think the Duchess will have gone for their more see-through pieces, or anything covered in a massive bow.
However, we could see her coming to a gala in one of their floor-length, one-colour gowns with one excellent design detail.
So will it overwhelm her, or be worth the price tag? What do you think?
