The year is all too quickly drawing to a close, but it hasn’t been without its fair share of memorable moments. It’s been one to remember when looking back on celebrities who said ‘I do’, couples that gushed with newborn joy and legends we lost all too soon.

BIRTHS.
18th March: Tristan and Sasha Hemsworth – Sons of Chris Hemsworth
The star of “Thor” took a break from his usual duties to welcome twins into the world with his actress wife Elsa. Let’s hope he’ll be a superhero dad!
12th June: River Rose – Daughter of Kelly Clarkson
The songstress tweeted she was on “cloud 9” after the arrival of her baby girl. River will sure have some sweet lullabies to fall asleep to…
12th September: Esmerelda Amanda Gosling – Daughter of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes
Named after the gypsy-heroine of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, this little miss is sure to be a future stunner with genetic blessings from Ryan and Eva.
1st October: Wyatt Isabelle – Daughter of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
The couple that starred in That 70’s Show together welcomed a little bundle of joy in October. Baby Wyatt’s name was uniquely chosen on the sideline of a basketball game.
27th October: Charlton Valentine Williams – Son of Robbie Williams
It’s the baby we all knew was coming – Robbie’s social media antics, including a serenade of ‘Let it Go’ in the birthing room, made more headlines than the bub itself.
9th December: Kaya Evdokia Klitschko – Daughter of Hayden Panettiere
This pint-sized bundle of joy is the first for the ‘Nashville’ star. The Japanese origins of Kaya mean “a place of resting”, though her full name comes from Hayden’s fiance, Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
DEATHS.
March 13, 1989 – 6 April 2014: Peaches Geldof
Model, Tv host and daughter of humanitarian Bob Geldof , Peaches death came as a shock to the world – and her family – at the tender age of 25. She was best know for her work with MTV and becoming the face of Australian brand Dotti.
July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014: Robin Williams
The boy who never grew up made his way onto our screens and into our hearts through countless Award winning movies. A comedic legend and Oscar Award winning actor, Williams’ passing sparked unprecedented awareness of mental health issues.
September 16, 1924 – August 12, 2014: Lauren Bacall
The leading lady of the silver screen won our hearts starring alongside the likes of Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe. Known for her sultry tone and distinctive eyes, her elegance will remain immortal through her countless award winning films.
June 8, 1933 – September 4, 2014: Joan Rivers
Beloved comedienne and TV personality Joan Rivers was rushed to hospital following complications from a throat procedure. “My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh,” said daughter Melissa.
July 22, 1932 – October 20, 2014: Oscar de La Renta
The master. The legend. The dress. The man who clothed some of the world’s most beautiful women for over four decades passed away mere weeks after creating Amal Clooney’s wedding gown.
24 February 1982 – 6 December 2014: Stella Young
This passionate writer, comedian and disability activist died unexpectedly at only 32. Her presence and enthusiasm for disability advocacy will be irreplaceable.
MARRIAGES.
1st January: Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting
Tv star Kayley Cuoco started the new year off with a big bang, with her wedding held on NYE and celebrations continuing into 2014. Wearing a fairytale pink tulle gown, the pair’s ranch wedding included a fire-and-ice themed reception.
29th June: Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl
Wearing a cashmere sweater and white shorts under a tulle skirt, Olivia looked every part the modern bride when wedding long-time beau Johannes. Friends and family attended a civil ceremony away from the hustle and bustle of downtown NY, with the pair saying ‘I do’ in a quiet park.
11th August: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
The wedding that everyone had been waiting for, this coveted couple became official in a secluded ceremony in France. Surrounded by close family only, Angelina wore a bespoke Atelier Versace dress embroidered with her children’s artwork.
13th September: Lauren Conrad and William Tell
‘The Hills’ star and fashion entrepreneur tied the knot with William Tell after meeting on a blind date in 2012. Wearing a custom Badgley Mischka gown, the pair unified in a private coastal wedding in California.
29th September: George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin
A windswept canal ride to the alter, outfit changes at every interval, a ceremony in Italy’s historic Aman Canal Grande Venice… We were dizzy with excitement over George and Amal’s uber-romantic marriage.
