There was something for everyone at Badgley Mischka. Sidestepping from only showing gorgeous red-carpet worthy offerings, they made sure that this season they offered something for many glamorous occasions, both day and night.
The Badgley Mischka show opened with the traditional Oscar worthy, floor-skimming gowns, complete with mountains of tulle, bedazzling beading and Princess Di worthy midnight blue one-shouldered gowns that we expected from the label.
There was even the type of strapless ball gown covered in delicate flowers made of chiffon roses that inspires young girls to dream and say “when I grow up I want to be a princess or a ballerina”.
But for the modern women, or perhaps more appropriately for the modern economic climate, the duo also showed their more contemporary line, this time taking their first names, ‘Mark and James’.
Perfectly filling in their modern day Princesses’ needs, this range was filled with woollen sweater dresses, caplet jackets and leggings. Only these were not traditional gym leggings, not unless you want to attempt your Pilates class in the leather, lace or sequined variety…
