Your month in a nutshell

Watch out if you have a bad temper or you live/work with someone who does. Verbal fireworks are possible around in the third week of June, as angry Mars and furious Pluto face off against each other across your Work and Home Zones. The good news is that any crises now could actually prove healing in the long run.

So what is up in the skies?

Mercury is on the move… When the planet of communications, Mercury, moves signs, it turns our minds to other things. In June we have Mercury in the sign of Moonchild for most of the month.

So what does that mean for you?

(Remember to read your Rising Sign of you know it for an even more accurate reading. If you don’t know your Rising Sign but you wish you did, see www.moonmessages.com/freechart)

There’s nothing wrong with ambition. It gets bad press. But unless you’re totally ruthless and hell-bent on clambering over others to get to the top, it’s actually a healthy fulfillment of our potential, to aim high and work at a high level It’s definitely time to turn your mind to your career and ambitions now – where you’re going, where you want to go and what you want to do once you get there. If you’ve got a job interview coming up, you should be able to prepare yourself excellently, and sail through it (just do the preparation with serious intent). If you’re in a job you want to go further with, now is the time to be formulating your plans. Many of you will find yourself working longer and later over the next few weeks but your efforts will be worth it. Don’t get bogged down in paperwork and procedures. If you need to speak to someone about your next career move, it’s a great time to book your appointment to have the chat. If you want to study to improve your work skills, it’s as an ideal time to be either booking yourself in for the course or starting it.

June standout dates for Mercury for all the signs

The thing with Mercury is that it sets the tone for the way we are communicating. So if Mercury is clashing, we get a day when people are more prone to argue. And when it’s harmonising, you guessed it, we get a day when people are more likely to get along. Here’s a rundown of the Mercury dates for 2019. Please note that these events don’t turn on and off like a light switch. You will feel them a little in the lead up and also in the aftermath.

5 June 2019 – Mercury moves into Cancer. There’s a bit less chatter.
8 June 2019 – a great day to say something which surprises everyone. Ideas are flowing.
8 June 2019 – that said, there could also be some harsh words being bandied around. Don’t be the person who upsets someone else!
16 June 2019 – today there is a sense that the thing which needs to be said will finally be said.
16 June 2019 – a day to dream and to write down your dreams and daydreams. Meditate and contemplate.
17 June 2019 – don’t let a mean person get you down. A good day for mental discipline but some people are also in a plain bad mood.
19 June 2019 – things could get fiery in the communication stakes today. Watch out!
19 June 2019 – adding this to the mix makes June 19 a day to really avoid getting into power struggles or arguments which devolve into something toxic.
27 June 2019 – Mercury moves into Leo

What about the love and abundance plane Venus?

So that’s the planet of communications, Mercury. What about the planet of love and abundance Venus?

She is also in the move this month. On June 9, she moves into the sign of Gemini where she stays unto until July. Venus in Gemini is flirty and lots of fun, so the vibe should be quite good.

Here’s what it means for you.

Venus is now moving through your ninth house of study, travel and adventure. If you’re about to head off into the wild blue yonder on an adventure, you really do have the stars on your side. Expect excitement, fun and plenty of excellent memories to come home with. If you’re going with a lover, it could be an extremely romantic getaway which teaches you both about each other. If you’re off somewhere as a single and you’re open to meeting someone, that could be exactly what happens. If you’re not going anywhere during this cycle, all is far from lost. Singles could find themselves drawn to someone from out of town now, while couples have a chance to step back from their relationship for a moment, to see the Big Picture of where you’re going and what you’re doing. Be grateful for what you have. The part of your chart being stimulated by Venus is also the part of your chart which broadens your mind. Love, romance, adventure, study and self-improvement will all do that for you, now and over the next four weeks. Foreigners and people recently returned from out of town or overseas should also hold extra interest.

June standout dates for Venus for all the signs

They are also going to be lots of clicks and clashes with other planets as Venus moves through Gemini. Here’s a rundown of the standout dates.

2 June 2019 – it’s a day of deep and exciting love, profound connection and maybe a bit of obsession too.
13 June 2019 – if you have been hurt in love, this can be a day of healing. Also a good day to make up with a friend.
23 June 2019 – how much love is too much love? That is the question today as Venus connects with OTT Jupiter. Don’t smother someone and don’t spend too much either!
24 June 2019 – if you’re worried that your beloved is not to be trusted to 1. Ask yourself why you’re with them and 2. Take care today as deception is in the air!

Follow the Sun

Meanwhile the Sun spends June 1 to 22 in the sign of Gemini. Wherever the Sun goes in your chart is where the “focus” is for that four-week cycle. If you follow the Sun around your chart over the course of a year and work on the part of your life that the Sun is highlighting, you will work on every single part of your life. Check back here each month for info about where the Sun is for you…

The Sun for you in June…

June is a month when any study, travel or self-improvement courses you undertake will be particularly well-starred. Try not to do any of these things alone if you can help it – it’s not the time to retreat from the world. Overall, the skies suggest that the main thing you need to be doing now and for the next month is looking for ways to expand your world view, whether you do that by actually getting away, by studying, reading, seeing foreign films and/or getting to know someone who comes from somewhere quite different to you. If you are interested in the spiritual or metaphysical, now is the time for you to explore those realms a little more deeply.

June brings the solstice. Click here for the times around the world.
Down Under, it’s the winter solstice and in the northern hemisphere it’s the summer solstice. For Aussies, then, this June solstice is the shortest day of the year in terms of daylight. In the north, it’s the longest.

A solstice occurs when the sun is at its furthest point from the equator (at the equinox, it’s at the closest distance from the equator.).
So what to do? Wherever you are at the time of the solstice, honour the light in your life – since the solstice is about the Sun.

A little ritual for the solstice… from my Moonology Diary (click here to pre-order the 2020 version!)

As you enjoy the solstice, take a moment to think about what is coming up in the months ahead.

Down Under, of course, it’s about being half-way through the depths of winter. In the northern hemisphere, it’s all about the height of summer.

One thing this June solstice has in common, wherever you may be in the world, is that a candle can work as a symbol of the celebration.

In the southern hemisphere, the same coloured candle symbolise the warmth of hearth and home as winter peaks, and also reminds us of the coming of the light at the end of the coldest months.

In the northern climes, an orange, red or yellow candle (which you can poke into an actual orange!) symbolises the Sun burning brightly for summer. It’s said to leave the candle burning all day long (though careful not to burn your house down!)

The June hotspots

Regardless of your star sign of Rising Sign, there are some days which are more intense than others and affect us all in a similar way though the specifics of how they manifest will vary.

Here are the hot June dates

14 June 2019 – today could be annoying and frustrating as we move towards a Mars/Saturn clash which is all about trying to get somewhere and spinning your wheels. Patience is the only sane answer.
16 June 2019 – today is a really big day because we get the latest Jupiter/Neptune clash. Note that this year, Jupiter and Neptune are actually clashing repeatedly. Every time that happens, it’s going to bring up a lot of confusion. Expect weirdness.
18 June 2019 – counter-balancing the weirdness above we get a lovely link between Saturn and Neptune. So whatever was so weird a few days ago can start to make more sense now.
20 June 2019 – another high energy day as Mars makes its once-every-two-years clash with Pluto. If you have a short fuse or your dealing with someone who has one, watch out today!

Where’s the Moon?

This month’s New Moon is in Gemini
June 2019 New Moon in Gemini
London: 3 June at 11:01
Sydney: 3 June at 20:01
LA: 3 June at 3:01

Where the New Moon is for you

The New Moon taking place this month will be in your 9th House, the part of your chart related to study, travel, adventure, and The Great Cosmic Quest. Re study, travel and adventure – just remember that you have a rush of new energy in both those parts of your life, so if you have plans in those areas, then you can the skies’ support. This part of your chart is about seeing The Big Picture of your life. Getting things in perspective. It’s about higher learning and self-improvement. This is the month to open your eyes to the big wide world rather than fretting about all the little details on the home front.

On the night of the New Moon… a little ritual for all the signs:

1. Make a list of what you want to manifest in your life

2. Cross off anything which you already suspect you are never going to manage to manifest

3. From your list, chose the number 1 thing you really want in your life

4. Write a list of the steps that you would realistically have to take to make this dream real

5. Write an affirmation about this dream – as though it’s already happened eg “I love my new job – I just LOVE it!” Commit to saying it out loud over and over every day for the month ahead. Put a reminder in your phone so that do don’t forget! Write it out, too, and as you write it, imagine you’re writing to a friend to tell them the good news about your new job. You can also write it as an email or text message which you never send. The secret is to feel the feeling of the wish fulfilled as you do this. See it as real as you do it, too. This is all crucial.

6. Make a list of inspired action you can take to make your dream come true. Because when you manifest, you have to balance the magic with the practical.

7. Pay attention to signs that your dream is manifesting. For example, say you want to work for a particular company, see if you start to see ads for them. That’s a sign your dream is manifesting

8. And most important of all, do it with a spirit of surrender. Be grateful for all the good in your life as you do these exercises, and once they’re done, say “For the good of all or not at all!” out loud with a lot of energy. Because the Universe knows what’s best.
If you do this, you will start to see how manifesting really does work.

The Full Moon is in Sagittarius

Where the Full Moon is for you

It’s all very well dreaming of the Great Escape where you and possibly a loved one or two decide to take off to see the world (or at least the nearby countryside). But what about the details? This Full Moon is reminding you that there is a lot of work to be done close to home, things to be taken care of, items on your To Do List to be ticked. It’s also a celestial remind that you seriously need to express yourself – if you haven’t been honest about how you feel, now is the time to start to say your piece, whether you’re talking, Facebook-ing, emailing, Tweeting or whatever. Dramas with siblings are highlighted and can be sorted now too.

Here are the top 5 questions to ask yourself under the Sagittarius Full Moon

1. Have I been too flippant, or carefree to the point of being careless, irresponsible, even?

2. Have I been letting myself down by allowing myself to get distracted and bored?

3. Have I been overconfident to the point of arrogance, or too preachy?

4. Have I been a commitment-phobe, to my own detriment?

5. Have I been seeing the bigger picture?
