When it comes to seducing the opposite sex, there’s nothing more transfixing then a full head of luscious locks. It’s difficult to resist the touch of soft, healthy, full-bodied hair, so if you’re looking to amp up your sex appeal we recommend ditching the dry strands asap.
From bodacious blondes to radiant red-heads everyone has their preference when it comes to colour and style, but according to new research from Head & Shoulders, there are some areas on which we all agree. 91% of Australians surveyed claimed that hair is a key element to a person’s sex appeal, with dirty hair (79%) and dandruff (64%) coming in as two of the biggest turn offs when meeting a potential partner. Unsurprisingly, we equate unclean, unhealthy or unkempt hair with unclean and unhealthy personalities, so many of us run quickly in the opposite direction.
As far as colour goes, it seems that gentlemen no longer prefer blondes. The majority of Aussie guys surveyed believed that brunettes make the best lovers and are the most appropriate to introduce to their parents. Even more disheartening for blondes, 36% of men think blondes are more likely to cheat! Who knew that changing your hair colour could increase a man’s faith in your fidelity!
Women too, preferred brunettes, rating guys with styled cuts as sexier than those who hadn’t put in the effort. No surprises there, we all want a man who’ll go above and beyond, whether it comes to hair or romance.
But what about style? Preferences vary, but we think the best place to look for sexy hair is the Victoria’s Secret catwalk – the angels always have bombshell body in their curls and will a little attitude and the perfect strut, we know they’d have any guy fall at their feet.
