It’s prime party season and you want your hair to look its very best. But what’s hot right now? We asked Joh Bailey, our celebrity hair and grooming expert, to give us four on-trend hair looks that we can channel this party season.
Trend 1: As beautiful as Bella
The Twilight movie, New Moon, is so popular right now. So it is not surprising that Joh’s first pick is a big Bouncy hairdo like Kristen Stewart in the Twilight movies (she plays a 17-year-old mortal girl in love with a vampire).
To get this look:
Shampoo and dry your hair off. Set with hot rollers, following the tips below, and then reveal your inner goddess.
Joh Bailey’s TOP TIPS:
– The smaller the sections of hair in each roller, the bouncier and curlier the effect.
– For the longest-lasting result, allow the rollers to cool off completely before removing them.
Trend 2: Nicole Ritchie’s beachy hairdo
This style has been around for a while, but as Paris Hilton would say, “It’s hot.” And it’s perfect for pool parties, BBQs and all summery occasions.
To get the look:
Twist the hair in small sections and then wrap it with hot tongs. Then unveil your tussled waves.
Trend 3: Sex In The City style sophistication.
Cause a style sensation at your work Christmas party with a Sarah Jessica Parker style Up Do.
To get the look:
Blow-dry the hair into a messy unstructured look. Then tuck the hair up in a bob and pin it for a relaxed sexy up do.
Trend 4: The high pony
The high ponytail has returned for the party season, think Chanel’s Paris Runway for an eye-catching style. (image shown top of the page)
To get this look:
As Joh told us in his last blog on special occasion hair, a sleek, straight pony tail is simple. All you have to do is blow-dry the hair, roots to ends with a medium radial brush and a hot blow-dryer. Finish off with a straightening iron for a sleek finish. Then for the Ponytail, pull hair tightly back and secure with an elastic and spray with product.
