Kale Chips are the hottest snack of the moment, and deservedly so, they are as tasty as they are nutritious. Perfect for when you’ve got the munchies, or for serving as finger food, these simple ‘chips’ can be seasoned and adapted to any taste.
To get you started, we’ve rounded up our two favourite varieties – classic kale chips, and paprika and chilli kale chips.

Classic Kale Chips Recipe
Ingredients
1 Head of kale
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Sea salt
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for a fan forced over)
2. Line two large baking trays with baking paper.
3. Trim kale, removing centre stems, and tearing leaves into bite sized pieces.
4. Spread the kale leaves over trays in a single layer.
5. Drizzle olive oil over the leaves and sprinkle them with salt.
6. Bake for between 10 and 15 minutes or until crisp, turning the leaves halfway through.
Paprika and Chilli Kale Chips Recipe
Ingredients
1 Head of kale
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of paprika
a pinch of dried red chilli flakes (to taste)
Sea salt
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for a fan forced over)
2. Line two large baking trays with baking paper.
3. Trim kale, removing centre stems, and tearing leaves into bite sized pieces.
4. Combine oil, paprika an chilli in a large bowl, add the kale leaves to the bowl and toss until coated in the mixture.
5. Spread the kale leaves over trays in a single layer.
6. Bake for between 10–15 minutes, or until the leaves are crisp, turning the leaves halfway through.
7. Sprinkle with sea salt to serve.
