Just 10 months after the birth of her adorable daughter River Rose, Kelly Clarkson is heading on the road! The just-turned-33 year old hasn’t skipped a beat since the birth of her little one, having released the single ‘Heartbeat Song’ and new album ‘Piece by Piece.’
Naturally, a new album release requires a whole lot of promotion meaning little River Rose has become a little roadie on tour while Clarkson ticks off television appearances and gigs along the way.
“I had a rough pregnancy and I wish I could have worked for the mere distraction so I am loving being back out there,” the star told news.com.au, continuing, “When we have those 4am and 5am mornings, by the time I am done with hair and make up, she is waking up and she gets fed on the way to my first thing. She’s our little roadie, our little team mascot.”
The ever-humble star frequently posts pictures of the gifts fans give her little girl joking that, “It’s so funny that when you have money, people send you stuff but when you are poor, no one sends you anything except for notices.”
Now, the Since You’ve Been Gone singer (and her bub!) are headed down under for a one-off show in Sydney at The Star. The Grammy Award winner said, “I’m so excited to be heading back to Australia next month. I always have the best time when I’m there, and I’m excited to be playing a show in Sydney for all my fans!”
Clarkson will appear at The Star’s rooftop Event Centre on Friday May 8th to perform in front of an intimate audience. Think Harbour views, the city skyline, and Clarkson’s three-time Grammy Award winning voice. Uh huh. To purchase a ticket head to www.ticketek.com.au and for more information click here.
