Kristen Stewart Cut Her Hair Off An Hour Before Chanel Couture
It seems that while for some people a front-row look for a couture show takes weeks of preparation, for others it inspires experimentation.
Kristen Stewart showed up to the Chanel Couture show in see-through harem pants and a crop top, but everybody was focussed on her new cropped ‘do – a bright orange shaggy cut.
And it turns out it may not have been part of what Karl envisaged for his American muse.
Stewart was apparently overheard telling people excitedly that the hair was cut off an hour before the show started.
Stewart’s the face of the Chanel Dallas collection, so at least it’s in character – but can you imagine the catastrophe if the pre-show cut had gone awry?
Fortunately the models in the Chanel show had their own hair to deal with: Lagerfeld gave them all messy faux-hawks to offset the tweed and braid of his creations.
And we can imagine many starlets in some of the delicate dresses and gowns – without the tweed bike shorts that Lagerfeld put underneath, perhaps.
(The other big gossip was that Karl put a heavily pregnant model in a white dress on the catwalk, but we suspect that isn’t a look that Stewart is going to want to emulate any time soon.)
What do you think of Stewart’s spontaneous do?

First Sneak Peek: Alexander Wang for H&M
It’s coming – and now sneak peeks are beginning to emerge.
One of the hottest collaborations of the season, Alexander WAng for H&M, has begun to leak onto social media.
But, alas, the hints are very small indeed.
What do we have to go on? Just two images – and not even of clothes. They’re close-ups of accessories, and it looks as if Wang is going big into branding, with his name splashed Calvin Klein underwear-elastic style across his pieces.
We’ve seen that before with Rihanna’s range for Topshop: it seems the Marky Mark look from the 90s is in.
What’s on show? A pair of tiny branded boxing gloves on a keychain, and what looks to be the strap and bottom of a bag. The bag is all rubber and leather, with a tantalising hint of grey snakeskin – but we’re still figuring out the shape and style.
One thing’s for sure, Wang’s not going in shy: everything’s emblazoned with his name, from the strap to the bottom of the bag to the tiny boxing gloves, which are embossed with his initials.
It seems that if you’re going to wear Alexander Wang for H&M, everybody’s going to know it.

Behind The Scenes Before The Ralph & Russo Couture Show
Ralph & Russo are the Brit-Australian couture brand that could.
First they’ve showed their pieces all over the celebrity world, from a spectacular piece on Angelina Jolie to a custom-made gown for Duchess Kate on her Australian tour.
And now they’ve let Vogue into their atelier before their couture show in Paris this week. Ever wanted to know what a couture piece looks like before it walks the runway? This is your chance.
The atelier is located in London, and need to transport their delicate pieces all the way to Paris for the shows – we reckon that Eurostar trip would be terrifying.
The pictures for Vogue show just what intricate work is involved in making a couture piece. Some can take hundreds or even thousands of hours of work: it’s a matter of pride for couturiers that they use expert workmanship, like the intricate embroidery at the famous House of Lesage, on their garments rather than quicker modern remedies.
The shots show a pearl-encrusted skirt, still unhemmed, being measured with gloves, and a myriad of pins putting the crystal flowers of a bodice in precisely the right place.
And it turns out that Ralph & Russo have another secret in store: they’re branching into shoes.
“They will be available at Ralph & Russo immediately after the show,” one of the label’s founders, Michael Russo, told Vogue – and then they’ll go to international stockists.
