The Hotel Centennial turned into a female powerhouse on Tuesday 2nd August 2015, where it lent its doors to support one of our favourite foundations, Barnardos Australia.
The result: a dining room full of Sydney’s most influential women sampling food by head chef Justin North and helping to raise money to support neglected and abused children in Australia. Hosted by the fabulous Maree Andrews, Deborah Symond, Emma Steel, Kim Medich and Carla Farrah the lunch marked the first of many annual get togethers ahead to raise money for the Barnardos Foundation.
If you’re not familiar with the foundation, Barnardo’s stands for child protection in Australia. Helping to build quality relationships between children, adolescents, their families and the community – you too can help support children who suffer from abuse and negligence. From foster care and adoption through to a simple donation online, every little bit helps to ensure that the 130 year old foundation stays strong in Australian communities. After all – who doesn’t believe every child deserves to be loved and nurtured?
It is no wonder that the 2-hour luncheon event on Tuesday raised an impressive $40,000.
