Following in her supermodel half-sister’s footsteps, 16-year-old Lottie Moss has become the face (and body) of a collaboration between Calvin Klein Jeans and online retailer mytheresa.com. Named “The Re-Issue Project”, the capsule collection will bring back iconic denim pieces from the 90s, when Kate Moss made her own debut for the brand.
Signed with the same agency as her big sister, Lottie was shot by photographer Michael Avedon, grandson of legendary photographer Richard Avedon who shot Calvin Klein campaigns in the 90s – way to keep it in the family! According to The Telegraph, Avedon said, “Lottie truly represents the essence of the Calvin Klein girl. Intriguing innocence with utter beauty – it was wonderful to photograph this beautiful young lady!”
Global creative director of Calvin Klein platinum label, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear, Kevin Carrigan told WWD, “We wanted to use someone who was fresh and current for this project, so we reached out to Lottie Moss. Lottie represents the relevant generation of today, but with a historical connection to the house of Klein. She’s cool and wears vintage clothing in her own way,” he said.
“This Calvin Klein Jeans capsule is all about a nostalgia for the Nineties and that whole look feeling very right again. It now feels like the perfect time to reissue the brand’s iconic hits to a new generation,” Carrigan said.
Lottie Moss made her modelling debut for Dazed & Confused magazine and has appeared in Teen Vogue, but has spoken of her ambitions to become a fashion journalist.
The re-issue project will features versions of the original high-waisted skinny jeans worn by Shields in the ’80s and the classic, boyfriend tapered jeans first worn by Moss in 1993.
