The iconic brand recently dropped the exciting (and long overdue) news that they will be launching seven new fragrances. For the first time since 1946 (where Vuitton released their only two fragrances) the brand is making a second debut into the world of fragrance. It’s safe to say if there’s 70 years of mixology behind these fragrances, they’ll be everything you’ve imagined and more.

In true Vuitton form, its no surprise the luxury brand has announced the launch of not just one, but seven feminine fragrances.
The range, named Les Parfums, features magnolia, jasmine, lily and rose, with notes of musk, leather and cocoa. The rich history of Vuitton will surely be expressed through the journey each fragrance takes the wearer on.
What’s The Secret?
The perfumer behind the new collection, Cavallier Belletrud, has helped create some of the most luxurious and hero fragrances in the market, including Dior Addict, Stella by Stella McCartney and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique.
The campaign for the first scent, Rose Des Vents, has been unveiled, starring French actress, Léa Seydoux. The campaign, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, is shot in front of the breathtaking Lone Creek Falls in Sabie Town, South Africa. The fragrance is based entirely on various roses, including Centifolia, Bulgarian and Turkish roses.
According to Belletrud, the fragrances were developed using a method known as CO2 Extraction.
What was formally developed for the process of decaffeinating coffee, the process essentially traps CO2 in the air and transform the formed molecules into a liquid state. “You then mix that with your flowers at a very low temperate, as low as 20 degrees celcius, and you maintain the fragile, volatile elements of the flowers,” shared Belletrud. What sounds as simple as potion making 101, the iconic brand has formulated fragrances that share the Vuitton heritage.

Who’s The ‘It’ Girl?
She’s actually the latest Bond girl. The French actress first appeared on the scenes when she won the Trophée Chopard, at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008 (a trophy awarded to two promising actors in acknowledgment of their career). The beauty then made her official Hollywood debut, appearing in films including the likes of The Last Mistress (2007), Robin Hood (2010) and more recently the James Bond film Spectre (2015).

The remaining 6 fragrances have yet to be unveiled, but we do know they’ve been named Turbulences, Dans La Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire, and Mille Feux.
At the cost of $330 (and $200 for refills) the fragrances will be available exclusively from Louis Vuitton stores.
