Can positive thinking really turn our lives around? We asked Bella Gill to reveal some easy ways to turn a bad run into something more positive.
I love this month’s topic. It’s very fitting for me, personally and professionally. It seems that ‘stuckness’ has been in the air, and a lot of people have been experiencing a sense of difficulty in moving ahead. It’s like a great big stop sign has appeared in our lives overnight, but what can we do about it?
Positive thinking has amazing benefits, especially when things seem to be flowing backwards in your life, but it’s not always as easy as that when you feel like it’s all coming down on top of you at rapid speed and you can’t see a way out?
First of all, remember that “this shall pass”, yep, that’s right, you will get to the other side, also keep in mind that sometimes to know what we “Do” want , we have to experience what we “DON’T” want.
Here are some ways to get yourself back on track:
Do a mini clearing on yourself.
1. Pour a cup of seasalt into a bath, add some essential oils of rosemary or sandalwood, write down or imagine what you want to clear out of your life, or what is stressing you, getting you down, etc.
2. Visualise it being cleansed off you by the water, when you get out of the bath.
3. Imagine the water carrying away what you have cleared, and then re-focus your attention on what you now wish to create or experience.
4. If you don’t have a bath, you can do the same ritual in the shower, use the salt to scrub your skin instead.
See a healer/counsellor/ therapist, get some guidance on your situation. Sometimes seeing a different perspective is all we need to get our inspiration and direction back.
Believe in yourself, know you’re on the right track, remember the things about yourself that you love, focus on those! The wheels may be wobbly, but keep peddling, you WILL get there.
