But from an energetic perspective water offers us far more than simple hydration. How you can ‘reboot’ your drinking water so it’s filled with natural energy.

The most energised and revitalizing water you can drink is from a natural spring, it’s packed with the rich nutrients Mother Nature has to offer from sunshine, earth and air. In urban areas the water we drink has been through numerous filtration processes leaving us with very little of its ‘source energy’. But you can ‘recreate’ it easily and effectively at home or work through the use of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and veggies offer all the natural energy from source, along with the host of great vitamins they carry, so next time you’re filling your water bottle why not add some sliced cucumber and lemon and infuse that energetic boost into your daily dose.

Why getting wet is a vital part of your routine

Physically submerging yourself in free flowing water is really good for your state of being; this is because free flowing water is packed with negative ions. Negative ions enhance our mood, stimulate our senses and support our immune system. Ever noticed that you feel more refreshed near the ocean, a waterfall or even taking a shower? This is because these areas have higher concentrations of negative ions to positive ones. The force or energy of the falling or splashing water causes splitting of neutral particles of air, freeing electrons, which attach to other air molecules causing a negative charge. So if you’re feeling low after a tough day, or struggling to get yourself into the right headspace at the start of it, jump in the shower, let nature take its course and enjoy some immersive water wellbeing.

The freedom of flow

We’ve all heard the expression ‘go with the flow’ yet most of the time the true meaning behind this statement escapes us. Water as a concept has a lot to teach us, you can throw acid in water and you can throw perfume in it, and it will absorb and move through those elements easily. It doesn’t actively respond in any way, it continues to ‘flow’, to surrender to the way things are. Approaching life with this mindset can greatly relieve anxiety, often caused by the desire to control all outcomes that are often unpredictable causing great stress. So why not challenge yourself to see if you can surrender to at least one thing a day for 5 days, things that you would normally seek to control, and see what difference it makes to your sense of wellbeing.

Water is a wonderfully rich source of energy, physically, mentally and emotionally. And with these easy tips you can optimize your experience of it in your life and reap the benefits of a happier state of being on all levels.
