For the second year running, Pantene Beautiful Lengths has encouraged women to cut off their ponytails to support women undergoing cancer treatment.
This year an enormous 10,000 ponytail donations were received, each and every one of which will be turned into a real-hair wig by Pantene and distributed to wig libraries across Australia and New Zealand with the help of Look Good… Feel Better, a charity organisation with a mission to improve the wellbeing and confidence of people undergoing treatment for any sort of cancer.
Wig recipient Janette from NSW shared, “As one of the fortunate recipients of a Pantene Beautiful Lengths wig, I was overwhelmed by the generosity of Pantene and of the unselfish ponytail donations by women and girls (and a few men!) I wish to thank them for helping me during this difficult and emotional time.”
Nitin Darbari, Associate Marketing Director of Pantene and Head & Shoulders Asia Design at Procter & Gamble, commented, “As a worldwide leader in the beauty industry, Pantene is committed to supporting and improving the lives of all women. The purpose of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program is to not only support women with cancer, but provide a way for women to support each other through donating their hair or simply raising awareness. Thank you to everyone who has helped contribute to the 10,000 ponytails now received; your support continues to help women in Australia and New Zealand shine strong in their fight against cancer.”
