Sandra Bullock Wears Alex Perry
Sandra Bullock stepped out for a photocall with Gravity co-star George Clooney at the 70th Venice International Film Festival wearing a tri-colour body con dress that gets the Rescu. tick of approval over and over again and not just because it suited her to a tee…
Bullock opted for a dress by Australia’s own Alex Perry’s for her red carpet appearance, leaving us proud as punch. The hot pink, lime, and orange dress in question, ‘Ariel’ is from Alex Perry’s Resort 2014 Collection and will be available for all to buy from November 1. We have a feeling this one is going to sell out seriously fast.
The Perry love-in doesn’t end there either. International stylist Elizabeth Stewart, whose roll call of clients includes Cate Blanchett, Julia Roberts, Sophia Vergara and Jennifer Lawrence, has recently become a fan of Australia’s maestro of glamour creations after seeing the incredible yellow dress on the cover of Harpers Bazaar recently. Stewart, who made number four in the Hollywood Report’s list of the 25 Most Powerful Stylists in the US, has major influence and rumour has it we just might be seeing some Perry girls walk down the Emmys red carpet in a few weeks.
Here’s to Perry girls the world over!
Kate Bosworth Wedding Dress
Kate Bosworth is undoubtedly one of the most effortlessly stylish women in the world and we have little doubt her wedding will be as picture perfect as they come. What we weren’t sure of, however, was whether the star would opt for a bohemian wedding ‘ala Kate Moss, or take a more traditional approach like Nicole Richie but now it seems our question has been answered.
In an interview with Net-A-Porter’s digital magazine The Edit, Bosworth reveals that, “There was no doubt about the designer, [but] there was a feeling of, ‘Do I dance around the bridal thing and wear a dress I could wear for the red carpet?’ But lately I’m all about coming out of my comfort zone and challenging myself, so I decided to embrace the moment. It has been a real discovery of that part of myself. I have never thought about it — the dress, the ring, any of it.”
The designer Bosworth feels so assured about is none other than Oscar de la Renta.
In the interview, the star also discussed her relationship with husband-to-be movie director Michael Polish, saying, “There are so many things that just clicked for us. It’s like, what didn’t draw us together? It feels as if we have known each other our whole lives, even though he is 12 years older than me. But it feels like he’s been there every step of the way. And he is a great mentor to me artistically.”
We can’t wait to see two walk down the aisle!
Jay Z Debuts Holy Grail Video
Jay Z took to Facebook today to debut the official music video for his newest single ‘Holy Grail’, attracting more ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ than we many will ever get in their Facebook lives and making a bit of history as the first major music star to premiere a video via Facebook.
The clip in question is set in an abandoned mansion and shows Jay along with Justin Timberlake performing a remixed version of the song. It’s all a bit gothic and features ghostly dancers, chalices of blood, and a car being set ablaze along with a whole lot of Jay Z and JT in all-black and gold chains.
