King And Queen Of Street Style Split
Scott Schuman of the blog The Sartorialist has confirmed his split with girlfriend Garance Dore.
The two were the reigning lights of the street style blog craze, both getting thousands of hits a day.
The reasons behind the split of the fashionista power couple remain unclear, but the two released identical statements declaring it was amicable.
And they delivered the news- where else?- on their famous websites.
“Our mutual respect and admiration for each other have left us still great friends,” Scott said. “Our time together profoundly changed both of our lives for the better and I deeply thank her for that experience.”
Schuman has been credited with starting the first high fashion street style photography blog, drawing on his experience as a bespoke menswear consultant.
And he’s now front row at Fashion Weeks, with French blogger Dore accompanying him.
We wonder if the break up includes a custody agreement. Who gets possession of which Fashion Week?

Marc Jacobs Opened The World’s First Tweet-To-Pay Store
Ever thought your wit on social media could definitely be worth a pretty penny?
Marc Jacobs agrees. And he’s willing to put his social media faith before money – at least temporarily.
This weekend saw the second of Jacobs’ tweet-to-pay pop up shops, which saw buyers rewarded for creative tweets about the new #MJDaisy fragrance with in-store swag.
After the concept’s success in New York and now London, it might spread to Marc Jacobs stores worldwide.
Admittedly the prizes weren’t full price designer gear, but small tokens like key chains. But it’s still a pretty big precedent.
Jacobs is notoriously pro-social media for his brand; his last campaign was cast using a worldwide search for Instagram models using #CastMeMarc as a hashtag.
We don’t see the pop up tweet shop as a permanent fixture in luxury, though – just as a good PR stunt.
Sorry, Twitter wits.

Sneak Peek: Beyonce’s “On The Run” HBO Special Fashion
With all the divorce rumours swirling, you’d be forgiven that Beyonce and Jay-Z actually have a day job.
But they do – and with HBO doing a special of their On The Run tour on September 20, we’re getting our first close-ups of Beyonce’s tour fashion.
Yonce was once, famously, only dressed in her mother Tina’s designs, but she’s gone from that to high end designers, and is certainly looking good for the change.
She doesn’t have one favoured designer on tour either, juggling custom pieces from big names like Tom Ford.
So what are we preparing for?
In the preview clip HBO has distributed, Beyonce wears form-fitting silver to sing ‘Bang Bang’, a denim set of short shorts, some killer heels, and very revealing lingerie-style body suits.
It’s pretty typical stagewear – but we’re hoping for some big fashion moments, like the tuxedo from her video of “Haunted”, the Burberry clear trench from “Jealous” or the Mr Pearl bespoke corset from “Partition”.
Yonce likes her clothes to shock and awe – and we want as many outfits as possible. When she’s not singing and dancing, of course.
What do you think of this preview of the On The Run special’s fashion?
