Turmeric is not just for curry, this multi-tasking spice boasts a whole host of health benefits thanks to its active ingredient, curcumin.
Curcumin has incredible anti-inflammatory properties which helps treat a range of health conditions, including arthritis, cancer, and Alzheimer’s.
The curcumin in turmeric has also been found to act as a mood stabiliser, showing similar effects to the antidepressant drug, Prozac. This is because curcumin boosts serotonin and dopamine levels. So if you’re looking for a natural alternative to stabilise the mood and help treat depression, adding a little more turmeric into your diet may be all you need.
This creamy smoothie is packed full of so much goodness – from the coconut, chia seeds, ginger and the aromatic Turmeric Matcha mix! If you want to take the creaminess to the next level, you can even add half an avocado too.
