The Rescu. team is still licking their lips after a wonderful day of fine dining at the Taste of Sydney Food Festival, held in Centennial Park.
We saw celebrity masterchef Matt Moran, from ARIA restaurant, and sampled his “Slow Roasted Moran Family Lamb Spit Roast”, which had the most flavoursome lamb and chutney.
What else was on our menu?
– “Wagyu Beef Daube with Paris Mash” (from Guillaume At Bennelong), which was the most tender meat we had ever tasted.
– “Vanilla Panna Cotta with Lavender Honey and Fresh Pomegranate” (from Jonah’s At Whale Beach). It was a delicious light dessert. We couldn’t get enough of the sweet lavender honey.
– “Warm Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream” (from Restaurant Balzac). It was so rich and lick-the-bowl tasty.
– We also took home some “Pistachio Macaroons” (from Guillaume At Bennelong). Simply mouth-watering. I ate all three of them before the kettle had even boiled for the cup of tea I was planning to drink with them.
What we wanted to try but couldn’t fit in:
– “Alba White Truffle Popcorn” from Jonah’s At Whale Beach.
– “Mini Sandwich with Blue Sandwich Crab Meat and Coriander Mayonnaise” from Guillaume At Bennelong.
– “Strawberry Jelly with Champagne Foam” from ARIA.
We can’t wait for next year’s festival! We definitely like this Taste of Sydney.
