Global Beauty Expert
If there’s anyone who knows how to achieve an amazing face, it’s Bobbi Brown. The Global beauty expert has shared with us her most life–‐changing beauty secret yet, and it all comes down to three very simple steps.
Healthy, glowing skin is the basis for great makeup. Always start with good skincare for a fresh, hydrated base.
Bobbi’s tip: When applying makeup around the eyes, apply eye cream under the eye only.
Corrector is the wakeup call for tired eyes. Corrector is pink or peach based in order to neutralize under-eye darkness. Use a corrector like Bobbi Brown Corrector to brighten dark circles with quick, just-right coverage that is easy to blend and won’t crease.
‘I’m using one of the ‘bisques’, which really lighten and brighten.’
When applying corrector, you should apply directly underneath the eye, as close to the lashes and in the inner corner of the eye. This should brighten the eyes right up.
Bobbi’s tip: Use your ring finger or brush to gently press and blend the Corrector into the skin. Don’t pull or tug at the delicate skin around the eye area.
3. Conceal and set
After correcting, conceal with skin-tone correct Concealer to lift & brighten then set with powder.
Bobbi’s tip: Use a brush to apply concealer to hard to reach areas.
Apply the concealer directly on top of the corrector to help lighten the area, but also to blend it into your skin tone.
Bobbi’s tip: The ideal shade of Concealer is one-to-two shades lighter than your foundation.
Lastly, use a sheer finished pressed powder (Bobbi uses Pale Yellow) to set. ‘Pale yellow powder will totally make it last and blend it in to the skin. I also use pale yellow on the eyelid to get rid of discolouration.’
Bobbi’s tip: Powder is the best way to make your under eye concealer last longer.
‘And these steps are the secret to the universe.’
