Flying the antipodean flag during New York Fashion Week was Toni Maticevski, with a collection that oozed grown up glamour and red carpet fabulousness.
Home-grown starlets have already turned heads in Maticevski’s creations on our own soil at galas like The Logies, but this is one designer who is on the fast-track road towards Oscar red carpet worthy greatness.
Unable to choose our favourite creations, we love them all; from the 50s inspired pencil skirts to the structured corsetry and full-skirted ball gowns.
In fact we at Rescu. could imagine Angelina Jolie and the late Grace Kelly fighting over who was going to wear the collection first.
Even if you don’t have a Palace or your Prince Charming quite yet, the ‘high society-esque’ black and white ball gown complete with a delicate short-sleeved top, belted waist and full, glamorous lace skirt, given fullness by its under-layers of tulle, will make sure that you feel like a real life princess.
