So here we go into the New Year! What can we expect?
Let’s start off with some general information for all the Star signs…
The good news is that pretty much no matter what your Star sign, 2016 going to be a whole lot easier than 2012-2015 was.
That’s because those years brought us those terribly pressurising and some would say downright dreadful Uranus/Pluto clashes. And they are now officially over for eons.
Especially affected were Aries, Cancers, Librans and Capricorns (or if you have one of those signs rising…)
WHAT DOES THIS YEAR PROMISE?
2016 will be less about being pushed into a corner by the Universe so that have to take action, and more about making positive life changes.
Arguably the loveliest of the astro-links ahead this year will taking place between Jupiter (positivity) and Pluto (change). So yes, we are onto a much better thing.
Positive change is in the air. That means if you want to do something different, it’s not going to be such a struggle!
Here is a quick rundown re where you can expect change to flow more easily. Read your sign or your Rising sign if you know it!
Aries – changes can flow at work
Taurus – study and/or travel will be life-changing
Gemini – overall positive changes can flow re sex and money
Cancer – your love life can be transformed in a good way
Leo – overall positive changes can flow at when it comes to your daily life
Virgo – overall positive changes will be connected to romance, creativity and kids (your own or someone else’s)
Libra – overall positive changes can flow at home and re family
Scorpio – you will realise that you are creating your life with your thoughts!
Sagittarius – overall positive changes are the expected financially
Capricorn – your whole life is ripe for positive changes in 2016!
Aquarius – blast through your fears and your life will be even more amazing
Pisces – your friendships are going to be even more powerful this year
So will 2016 be 100% smooth sailing? Of course not! However there will be less of a crushing imperative that feels like do or die… and that has to be a good thing!
What’s really a stand out this year is that a lot of the big, outer, slow-moving planets are connecting in way that will allow us mere mortals here on earth to stride towards our goals.
STAND OUT DATES
Every year brings some super peak dates of the year which affect us all no matter what our star signs. These are the dates for 2016 and very much worth noting in your diary!

* These two dates are quite mysterious as they suggest very positive change and yet many of us reading this will be taking a day off and relaxing with family and/or friends. So what can it mean? My best bet is that these dates augur very well for better family relations OR for projects you’ve worked hard on throughout the year somehow paying off during the holiday season. LOOKING AT THE MAJOR TRENDS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD…
When we look at the major trends for the year ahead, the first thing is to see what lucky Jupiter is up to.
This is the planet that helps make life easier. And this year, the lucky planet is in Virgo for most of the year (until September).
As a Capricorn – how lucky will you be this year?
You’re in for a fabulous Jupiter cycle now as the planet of freedom moves through your adventure zone.
Over the next 9 months, your chances to get away and travel far and wide are at a 12 year high, so book those tickets asap. Jupiter actually favours long-haul see-the-world style travel. He’s the planet who broadens our minds, so he loves to get us up off our bums and questing around the world.
If you can only manage a quick trip here and there over the next 9 months though, don’t despair. Jupiter will see to it that if you can’t go to some foreign mountain, that foreign mountain will come to you, so to speak. People from far away places will enter your life, you’ll find yourself more drawn to people who are in some way ethnic or exotic, you’ll get a rush by trying out new foods from foreign lands and your appreciation of armchair travel and foreign films will be unsurpassed.
Anything which helps you see the world beyond your own backyard is what the Jupiter Doctor ordered and just what you need now.
Study is also on the cards for many of you – once again, it opens your mind to things you never knew before and that’s what Jupiter wants to do for you now. Jupiter is also about the Cosmic Quest so if you’re into working on yourself through seminars and self-help books, or via religion, knock yourself out. You won’t recognise yourself in 9 months. Your horizons are expanding.
HOW HARD WILL YOU HAVE TO WORK?
Of course taskmaster Saturn is still out there and circling the zodiac so there are still lessons to be learned by all of us.
Knowing where Saturn will be for you throughout 2016 is actually really, really worthwhile!
Saturn is the planet that makes us work hard but he is also the planet that helps us to make our dreams real.
For you as a Capricorn…
This year, Saturn is still hanging out in your 12th Solar house. This Saturn cycle is all about expanding your mind and not being afraid or threatened by its dark corners. If you’re not bothered by hippy dippy stuff read on.
Saturn in the 12th house is a heavy duty transit but one to relish and make the most of because there is such an enormous ability to grow through it. As well as being a cosmic teacher, Saturn’s the grim-faced fellow with a watch who ticks you off for not keeping up, or for being late. So what’s so hippy about that? Hold on. The 12th house is where your most sensitive, delicate and private self dwells.
So Saturn passing through your 12th Solar house this year means that you could be forgiven for living with a slightly, perhaps subconscious, sense of doom. Remember, living as though something good might not happen, or even pessimistically, is ultimately a time waster.
So one of your main lessons this year is to enjoy the moment for what it is, without worrying about the future. And here comes the dippy bit. One of the ways to make the most of this transit is to realise that we are not really alone, even though it sometimes feels like it. In new age circles it’s said that we are all connected to life everywhere and getting a sense of this is one of your challenges for the year.
