So here we go into the New Year! What can we expect?
Let’s start off with some general information for all the Star signs…
The good news is that pretty much no matter what your Star sign, 2016 going to be a whole lot easier than 2012-2015 was.
That’s because those years brought us those terribly pressurising and some would say downright dreadful Uranus/Pluto clashes. And they are now officially over for eons.
Especially affected were Aries, Cancers, Librans and Capricorns (or if you have one of those signs rising…)
WHAT DOES THIS YEAR PROMISE?
2016 will be less about being pushed into a corner by the Universe so that have to take action, and more about making positive life changes.
Arguably the loveliest of the astro-links ahead this year will taking place between Jupiter (positivity) and Pluto (change). So yes, we are onto a much better thing.
Positive change is in the air. That means if you want to do something different, it’s not going to be such a struggle!
Here is a quick rundown re where you can expect change to flow more easily. Read your sign or your Rising sign if you know it!
Aries – changes can flow at work
Taurus – study and/or travel will be life-changing
Gemini – overall positive changes can flow re sex and money
Cancer – your love life can be transformed in a good way
Leo – overall positive changes can flow at when it comes to your daily life
Virgo – overall positive changes will be connected to romance, creativity and kids (your own or someone else’s)
Libra – overall positive changes can flow at home and re family
Scorpio – you will realise that you are creating your life with your thoughts!
Sagittarius – overall positive changes are the expected financially

So will 2016 be 100% smooth sailing? Of course not! However there will be less of a crushing imperative that feels like do or die… and that has to be a good thing!
What’s really a stand out this year is that a lot of the big, outer, slow-moving planets are connecting in way that will allow us mere mortals here on earth to stride towards our goals.

* These two dates are quite mysterious as they suggest very positive change and yet many of us reading this will be taking a day off and relaxing with family and/or friends. So what can it mean? My best bet is that these dates augur very well for better family relations OR for projects you’ve worked hard on throughout the year somehow paying off during the holiday season. LOOKING AT THE MAJOR TRENDS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD…
When we look at the major trends for the year ahead, the first thing is to see what lucky Jupiter is up to.

Which is one of the reasons why this is a transit considered as “lucky” – some of the people who come into your ever-widening circle now will be the exact right people to help you achieve your ambitions and make your dreams come true. Some because they are the People For You, and some because they know someone who knows who can hook you up with exactly who or what you need to know.
In fact, the transit that follows this one is Jupiter in the 12th House – when you are quite likely to want to spend more time alone. So make hay while the Party Sun is shining.
HOW HARD WILL YOU HAVE TO WORK?
Of course taskmaster Saturn is still out there and circling the zodiac so there are still lessons to be learned by all of us.
Knowing where Saturn will be for you throughout 2016 is actually really, really worthwhile!
Saturn is the planet that makes us work hard but he is also the planet that helps us to make our dreams real.
For you as a Scorpio…
Saturn is still hanging out in the part of your chart governing money. What this means most of your biggest lessons will have $$$ signs on them (or pounds signs, or euros marks, depending on where in the world you live..!)
How will this manifest? There are always many, many possible ways. It could be, for example, that you learn a good lesson this year about impulse buying. Perhaps you buy something too quickly and without double checking all the facts and figures and you live to regret it. Or … a far more enjoyable possibility … perhaps you DON’T buy something on impulse this year and you realise later that you did 100 per cent the right thing. Saturn is not a planet given to impulse shopping. In fact, he asks us all to get down and studious. In your cash zone, he’s suggesting you reign in your impulses to go and beat the plastic fantastic a little bit. Instead, use this year to set up the financial systems that are going to work well for you in the years to come.
Another main lesson for you this year is about being long sighted, not short sighted. I don’t mean literally of course. But Saturn is a planet who likes to be allowed to take his time. As well as being in the cash zone of your solar chart, he’s in the part which governs what you value and cherish. So this year, as well as being given lessons about ‘what really matters to you’ you will be asked to look at what you truly value. Once you have that worked out, you can proceed to act upon it.
There is a lesson in not being parsimonious this year too. Don’t be tight with your cash on either yourself or anyone else. I’m not saying go out and spend wildly, but I am saying avoid the temptation to adopt a poverty mentality. There is enough of what you truly value to go around and all you need to do is work towards it.
The good news is that you have a very sober and realistic attitude towards money and what you value and cherish this year. The lesson is learning to value that sober attitude. It might not seem like the world’s most fun angle towards life, but this year a little seriousness will go a long way.
