Getting the cobwebs out of your home after the doldrums of winter isn’t just about getting rid of the physical dust, but giving yourself a ‘dust-off’ from your hibernation habits during the cold weather.

Opening the windows, letting the sun shine into your home and rearranging your furniture is a good start, but giving your walls a fresh coat of paint could be that psychological lift you need to positively kick-start your spring
For this season I have taken inspiration from nature’s surrounds to bring spring colours right into your rooms.
Here are some new paint and decor ideas to get your creative juices flowing. All colour references are from Taubmans.
Green
For spring, green is a fresh, crisp colour that calms the mind and can transport you to your dream holiday destination. You can get lost in a Tropical Rainforest by simply painting your walls with a soothing shade of green, like Endure Make Believe, and accenting the room with the other natural colours like Endure Citrus Spice and British Green.

Trend Colours
The big trend of the moment is using what I call ‘grown up pastels’ as accent colours in your home, such as Endure Wild Violet and Windsor purple, which can be seen here on the walls as well as throughout the lamp base and fabrics. These colours are bold and work well with soft greys and crisp whites. If you want to take it to the next level paint a small piece of furniture in Endure Fizzy Lime to really make the look ‘pop’.

Whites
Doors and trims need constant attention and cleaning as they are the most touched parts of the house. Giving them a new coat of white, like Endure Still White, this spring can bring a breath of fresh air into your room. The new Endure with Nanoguard technology will not only provides superior washability and stain resistance but also offers a lifetime guarantee. Accent the white trims with a bright colour like Endure Antique Sage Green to really make them pop!

Exterior
Your front door is the first point of contact you have with your house and you use it every day. That’s why it makes sense to have a beautiful front door that inspires you each time you open it. It’s easy enough to give your house a face-lift with a fresh coat of paint on your front door this spring. Try a bright blue like Endure Elegant Evening for a dramatic statement. You can do it in one day and this small success will give you the confidence you need to take on more involved projects.

Bedroom
Your bedroom is your sanctuary and the first and last place you see every day so it’s important that the room’s colours make you feel good. The elegant pinks of the Australian Galah inspire a great colour palette to inject some spring into your space. Using a deep shade like Endure Ellie May Rose and softening it with dusty colours like Endure Leaden Sky and Old Romance can create an elegant and sophisticated boudoir perfect to wake up to in spring and all year round.
